Here are the pages you can visit
to learn about places to go and things to do:
With the help of our partners, we share a listing of events at historic sites, parks, museums, trails, and other heritage appreciation and promotion venues. Some events will be posted a year in advance. Others will be posted only months or weeks ahead,, so check back often to see what opportunities interest you in and around your area. Or, plan an excursion to visit and to experience some of the signature events hosted by many of these sites. Tell them you are there to learn about our collective history in Becoming America.
Some of the sites you can visit will have special venue pages at Becoming America giving a short overview of what visitors can experience there. Those pages may change from time-to-time based on what the venue wants to share seasonally or annually. Check those pages from time to time. Users of these venue pages can connect with the website of each venue from its BA250 venue page.
History Highlights
Short descriptions of historic events whose notable anniversaries fall in each historic calendar year provide context and continuity for the history people have an opportunity to explore, relive, and appreciate by visiting historic sites, parks, museums, and historic trails..
